My name is Adjoua Ndjekie. I was born and raised in Ivory Coast, a country located in West Africa, where French is the official language. Living in a country with more than sixty ethnic groups and cultures, I have had the opportunity to learn and understand the value of diversity. I studied Literature at the University of Abidjan in Ivory Coast then my passion for teaching led me to the Professional Teacher’s Training School of Yamoussoukro (CAFOP). After a year of intense learning, I successfully obtained my Diploma in Teacher’s Trainee (D.I.S). As an Elementary School Teacher, I have taught and managed classes for children from early age to K-5 for 8 years. Once here in New York, I attended the Bronx Community College where I graduated with an Associate’s Degree of Art (A.A) in Early Childhood Education. I am now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the same field.
I started at Petits Poussins Too in 2020. I am the French teacher in the preschool 2 classroom. I like to listen, play and help children by making them feel confident. Those qualities continuously follow me in the classroom to create a healthy, loving and learning environment. When it comes to teaching, I believe it is about developing a strong relationship with each child which taps into their passions.
